NEA Syllabus
New Era Academy provides a range of performance assessment programmes for learners, aspiring actors, and performers. Learners can begin their journey toward different performing art disciplines. The performing art courses offer eight subjects, including some disciplines like Mime, Acting, Musical theatre, Creative Movement, and Shakespeare. The syllabus of each discipline covers the broadest range of contemporary performance and theatre-making. The syllabus is designed to:
- Cover a range of performing art and theatre making.
- Develop imagination and creativity.
- Develop acting, vocal techniques, and physical stage techniques in learners.
- Encourage the development of verbal and non-verbal communication.
- Promote research skills and self-reflection.
- Learn to use and apply chosen skills: poetry, singing, mime, or dance.
- Understand and engage with the materials.
- Promote the natural progression from the preparatory stage to grade 8 exams, or teaching diplomas.
- Support candidates to bring out their creative outcome-making interpretive choices.
- Research and plan the roles, scenes, and pieces using their creativity to interpret them and present them in performance exams.
- Develop a love of art, music, drama, and theatre in learners.
